Training and Clinics

Carter Horse Farm training facility gives us indoor riding for bad weather and starting colts.

Jud offers something that at lot of horse trainers don't offer, Feel. The inside of the horse is much more important to address than the outside. If you just fix it up and let them find it you'll get along alot better. Jud does not take or demand something, he offers a good deal by earning a true communication through respect and softness with the mind. It's a thought, or a look. When the horse is ready, they will do anything. All you are trying to do is operate the life in the body through the legs to the feet. The feet are the answer. It's the preperation to the position and the transition will take care of itself. The horse is always right, the human needs to make the adjustments. It is all just Basics!!
Clinics and Demo's.
Jud offers his experience by providing horsemanship clinics and demonstrations for the public. Whether you are a horse trainer, trail rider, 4-H member or just wanting to educate yourself more about the horse, Jud may be able to offer you something that will have a permanent and positive affect on you and your horsemanship forever. Any horse, any person and any age.

Training
We offer colt starting, restarting(tune ups) and working with horse problems and people problems. Old or young horses welcome. Jud will handle the horse on the horses schedule and not the humans. Horses will get worked with 5 or 6 days a week. Sessions are available on a monthly basis. The horse will be boarded at our facility during training. Horses will be trailer loaded, bathed, rode, tied, groundwork, and feet handled. Rode outside unless weather does not cooperate or a problem is being worked with. Price includes hay, grain, and boarding. Jud recommends that the owner comes and learns with the horse on Saturday's so that the owner will know their horse before they take them home.
Negative coggins and a healthy horse required. If interested see contact page.
$750 per month.

At owner's facility training
$40 per hour (2 hour minimum) plus trip charge.

Charlie Carter (Jud's helper).
Jud explains here that with his methods you dont need tie-downs, draw reins, harsh bits, or any other surface working tool to achieve results such as a willing communication. True softness is achieved within. When a horse turns loose with the human mentally, it is an amazing and humbling weightless communication. You become equal partners.
